Wagram of Gols
Best exposure to the sun – for high-valued ripeness.
The southern slope of the Plateau of Gols is called Wagram, which derives from “Wogenrain” that means seashore and refers to the shore area of a prehistoric ocean, which is again justified by the shell lime deposits.
Blaufränkisch, a very late ripening variety, proves itself as challenge every year. This sun exposed area at the Wagram offers this variety the best foundations in order to become a great wine.
