Heidenboden in Gols

Profound and fertile soils – for full-bodied wines.

The Heideboden in Gols reaches from the plain south of the Wagram to the lake.

This eastern part of the Little Hungarian Plain is exposed to the lake. Through interglacial sedimentation different soil formations were developed such as chernozem soils consisting of loess- and limestone or gravel soils without lime content.

Deep and fertile chernozem soils are a paradise for Zweigelt. This is where we care for this variety at early and sunny sites that are protected from the wind.
